removal of tetraoctylammonium bromide

Hypothetically, if an oxygen and acid sensitive thiocarboxylate in a mixture with greater than or eaqual to 0.75 equivalents of Oct4N+, how could I separate them without column?  I can think of gel electrophoresis/ion chromatography, but  the thioacid in a solution will decompose quickly.

I have a vague memory of someone's using Ag+ to precipitate a thiocarboxylate or thiophosphate as a separation technique,  I don't know whether or not it would be applicable for your product.

Depending on your wanted material's properties, wash with water or hexane may be OK.
