Aluminum co2 tanks leaching aluminum

Hey All,

Sorry if this is wrong section...

I'm building diy water carbonation machine.

All co2 tanks that I can get are aluminum, I'm concerned about alu leaching to co2 and then being pushed in to water.

Any ideas is this valid concern.

You mean compressed gas tank? Then no, there will be no aluminum in the gas.

Thank you Notes, even if the co2 is in liquid state in aluminum tank before it's pumped to water ?

No, Al won't dissolve in liquid CO2. That is, everything is soluble in everything to some extent, but in this particular case everything goes against Al solubility, so the amount of Al in the liquid CO2 will be below any detection limits.

Plus, liquid CO2 won't ever come into contact with water, at some place it will boil becoming a gas before being dissolved. At this place any Al - if it were present - would simply drop out leaving a solid residue. No chance of that happening here though, see the reason one.
