Sodium acetat melting point difference??

Hello, I am new to this side.
Can anyone plz tell me:
Why this difference in melting point of sodium acetate trihydrate(58 celcius) and anhydrous sodium acetate(324 celcius)?

These are two completely different crystals, why should they melt at the same temperature?

 :) thats true but i am looking for an explanation that has something to do with their structure maybe? the molecular interaction forces that are present in the crystals?... anything?

Perfect answer.

To some extent you can think about the melting of a hydrate as if it was a dissolution of the salt in the crystallization water. Note, that it is not an exact answer - it is about as handwavy as what you already wrote above.

Look for solubility of sodium acetate at different temperatures.
