Hi guys first time on these forums. Nice to meet all of you!
So I am working with chelants like EDTA and I've seen depictions of metal chelate structures like so:
https://figures.boundless-cdn.com/12142/large/metal-edta.pngSo if I use H2Y2-, or H3Y-, what will the structure be like? Will the chelant lose the H ions to form the same complex structure? Or will the structure be different? Also, will the solution become more acidic as a result of the release of H ions?
If you guys have any recommendations of books/journal articles please feel free to let me know.
Thanks!
