These are large, complicated molecules.  Can you begin to name some of the parts?   What nomenclature, have you just started learning? We do expect you to being to do some of the work yourself, that's specified in the Forum Rules{click}.  You agreed to follow these rules when you signed up.

Hi I am trying to get back in to Chemistry.

Left school (after A-levels about 8 years ago ) and wanted to try and get some nomenclature down. I have started with basics and remembering meth, eth, prop, but, etc. I just came across this on a post a friend made on FB and couldn't even begin to know where to start from. Was hoping to find out the names to see if I can better jog my memory and visually see how they are named. I don't need it for homework or anything as I am not enrolled on to a course. Just a bit of personal learning.

Edit. I also have taken out my old "Chemistry for you" book to being doing some work. Don't think I will be in a position to be able to identify these correctly anytime soon. Actually it was his post that sparked my interest in reading some Chemistry again.

Look in the book for something that resembles the center of the center one, and try from there.
