Calculating enegy and Heat requirments?

A 175 lb man was placed in a tank filled with 1000 gallons of water.  The temperature of the water increased by 2.49 Celsius degrees over a 1.50hr period.   Calculate the heat lost by the man during this experiment.  Using that data, calculate the energy required over a 24 hr. period. 


Heat(cal) = Mass(g) x Temperature change in degrees Celsiuspecific heat (1 cal/g. C)
we know the temp change is 2.49 degrees Celsius the specific heat of water is 1.00 cal/(g x C)
We need to find the mass of the water???

1 gallon = 3.7856L

1000 gallons x 3.7856 liters/1 gallon x 1000ml/1L x 1g/1ml  = 3785600 Grams

Heat = 3785600g x 2.59 degrees c x 1.00 cal/g x degree C. = 9804704 calories =9804.704 KcalCalories|_9804.704 KcalCalorieshrs  = 6536.47Kcal

6536.74 kcal x 24hrs = 126875.254 k cal


This doesn't look right not me.  The number seems really high....  Any help???

1 mL of water is approximately 1 gram
