What is the effects of Adding a small quantity of nitric acid to the Chromium ion and hydroxide ion which form Cr(OH)4

a)The acid reduces the concentration of hydroxide so the system would no longer be at equilibrium and the forward reaction rate would increase until a new equilibrium is reached. K does not change.
B)The acid reacts with the hydroxide also the system is no longer at equilibrium and the reverse reaction rate would increase until a new equilibrium is reached. K does not change.
c)Nitric acid doesn't appear in the reaction equation so there is no change.
d)The nitric acid acts as a catalyst and the reaction rate increases in both directions.

Hi there, I split this off from a question that wasn't pertinent.  But there's no question here.  Maybe you'd like to ask it in another way?
Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.
