MOF or nanoMOF?
« on: April 04, 2017, 04:26:54 AM »
If MOFs have nanometric dimensions, and thus they are nanomaterials, what is the difference between the as called nanoMOFs and MOFs?   From the application point of view, does anybody know why nanoMOFs are different?.
I imagine that it is related to the dimensions of the growth, but if a MOF in grown in a micrometric surface but it has nanometric dimesons (2D type layers for instance, or a 3D structure but not more that 50 nm in xyz) is still a nanoMOF?. Can’t see if there is missing point here. And could not find any paper relating that topic. Any idea is wellcome.
