I was restocking our lab and I noticed we have a bottle of caffeine stating 98.9 to 101.5% purity. I know this is probably a dumb question, but how is it possible to have over 100% purity.

If you do a forum search,  you'll see the topic come up once in a while here.  Briefly, its impossible to have greater than 100%, but it can appear as though it is. I can't search and cut n paste with my phone.
