Dust Particles of size in the 1-10 μm range
« on: August 08, 2017, 02:08:48 AM »
I want to test my air filter for the particles of size in the 1-10 μm range. It need not be dust particles only, it can also be something like say boric acid. Can you please tell me the particles that I can use to test my filter in the given particle size range.

What type of filter is it? Is it rated? It might already be tested made for particles of a certain size distribution.

I am not sure what you are asking...  do you want to get a powder of any composition that just has the right particle distribution to run through the filter to see if it works?  You shouldn't need to do that - just look up what filter you have and you should have an idea of what size particles it will retain. Otherwise - any powder with the particle size distribution you are interested in will probably work.  Talc? Chalk? Anything at all - it is the size that matters not the substance in this case.
Tonight I’m going to party like it’s on sale for $19.99!
