Demonstration of the Sn2 reaction
« on: June 23, 2006, 06:49:08 PM »
I found this:
http://jchemed.chem.wisc.edu/Journal/Issues/1992/Mar/jceSubscriber/JCE1992p0235.pdf
but the problem is I'm not subscribed so I can't see the article...

So...
Does anyone have any idea how to demonstrate the effects of leaving group, nucleophile, structure and solvent in Sn2 reaction?

I know that I could demonstrate the effect of structure using for example n-PrBr, i-PrBr and t-BuBr and NaI/acetone, but I don't really have any ideas on how to demonstrate all the other effects...

Thanks in advance :)

Filip
