proton NMR integration value problems

I had residual starting material and solvent mixed with my product when performing my proton NMR. My sample had a nitro group (starting material), and amine (final product), and ethanol (reaction solvent), using deuterated chloroform. Would the presence of the nitro, amine, and ethanol mess up with the integration values of the NMR spectrum????

What do you mean mess up? It comes down to whether the precise peaks overlap. Those functional groups are very generic, and can have peaks almost anywhere on the spectrum. They don't directly interact with one another chemically to give changes in the spectrum in the NMR tube if that's what you are asking.

It should be very easy to remove the ethanol. Put it under vacuum. Heck, even leaving it out overnight works pretty well if its a solid.

we need to know what you mean by mess up to solve the problem, it would help if you post the spectrum here
