Hi.....I want to ask that how can i fix a dye(Like phenolphthalein) onto whatman filter paper No.1.... P.S: Whenever dip the paper that has been dipped into the reagent first and then dried and dipped back into the sample, it washes out the reagent into the sample...i don't want to contaminate the sample...please help

You need a reactive dye or a reactive binder of some sort. What sort of chemistry means and skills do you have at your disposal?

What are you trying to bind to the paper? Literally any dye?
