Oxides Periodicity

Hi,

I found this question in a past exam paper and tried to work it out but not sure if I had answer it correctly. Heres the question:
The Oxides are a good illustration of the phenomenon of periodicity


Heres a summary of what I managed to write on this question:

The oxides change drastically from the left to the right side of the periodic table.
The Metals which tend to lose electrons form a giant ionic lettice and are basic oxide.
While going through a period and moving to the non metalic character they form macromolecular and convalent molecules. Convalent oxides form from weak acids to strong acids or neutral and are acidic oxides.
Oxides of intermediate bond character are amphotheric - therefore throughout the period it repeats itself in a similar pattern throgh periods.


Does anyone can tell me if I answered the question properly??
