diprotic acid question
« on: March 05, 2019, 06:30:42 PM »
Hi all!

I know the values of my Ka1 and Ka2 for a diprotic acid. How could I find the Ka value? I can't really find anything online or in my textbook. Is it as easy as adding the two numbers?

Thanks in advance!

You are confusing something. There is no such thing as Ka for diprotic acid - it has two separate Ka1 and Ka2 values for a reason.
