« on: March 22, 2019, 05:19:46 AM »
Hi,

I want to synthesise gamma-Aminobutyric acid (GABA), an amino acid.

Can anyone point me too some instructions?

It would be easier to extract it from GABA tea.
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex

The cheapest GABA is obtained microbiologically (Lactobacillus, hence it is in fermented tea, but I have not heard that milk is attempted to ferment under nitrogen), so chemical synthesis does not make sense. The first synthesis dates from 1883. You just need to look a little bit in the literature.
