Saludos,

      I'm having problems starting this problem,

Calculate the pH of an aqueous solution that is 3.00% KOH, by mass, and has a density of 1.0242 g/mL.

Do they mean that 3.00% of solution's mass is KOH?

and how do utilize the density?

Yes it means, 3.00% of solution's mass is KOH.

Assume a liter of solution and start from there.
