IUPAC Periodic Table Challenge
« on: August 22, 2019, 02:50:22 PM »
Dear all,
In January 2019 we (IUPAC) launched the online Periodic Table Challenge in celebration of the International Year of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements also aiming to to engage students and teachers worldwide.

Thousands of people from 125+ countries have already taken the 15-question quiz and have become a part of this global activity. The Challenge is also supported by twelve Chemistry Nobel laureates who have provided hand-signed Periodic Table Posters which we give out in prizes. Everyone is welcome to join this global celebration!

thanks!
Juris Meija, co-chair IUPAC Periodic Table Challenge

Did anyone else know it was the International Year of the Periodic Table? Completely passed me by!

I tried playing the game on my phone, but it didn't work.
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex

It has worked for thousand others. What exactly was the problem? Perhaps the scrolling up and down might not be very intuitive.

@meija, It wasn't intuitive, but I figured it out. I like the game. Are you the one the created it?

FYI: For Hydrogen, one of the options says, "Its density is lower than that of air." It should read, "Its density is less than that of air."
