Superparamagnetic material
« on: August 26, 2006, 02:45:13 PM »
Hello there,
This is my first topic this forum and i hope someone can help me with my problem :)
As a last year student i have to do some diploma research in magnetic materials. Working with
synthesis of some maghemite nanoparticles which should show superparamagnetic properties. And here's my first proble with definition this properties. From what i have red in literature superparamagnetic properties have materials with low remeanence magnetisation (Hr, emu/g) and low coecertivity (Hc, Oe). But how low these parameters should be (or in what diapazon range) to say that material have superparamagnetic properties. From my first mesurments my particles have remeanence of 0.5 emu/g and coecertivity of 100 Oe, so can i say they are superparamagnetic  ???
