Chalcogens

So I have a homework assignment and it is asking me for 5 properties that all of the chalcogens share and I could not find anything, please help.

I dont believe you. What about Hydrogen compounds, odor,  Oxides behaviour dissolved in water. Heavy metal compounds, colour , where can be found? High oxidation number ions and salts, acids, and more

Those are all characteristics that make them different not them same in one aspect and I don't understand the part where you say "I don't believe you" because it is a question not a statement.

No the opposite is the case. Compare H2S, H2Se and H2Te
What about H2SO4 and H2SeO4 ,SO2, SeO2

MexSy, MexSey, MexTey also MexOy => ore
