I haven't worked with aqua regia, but I think you need to make sure not to tightly close anything containing it.  It builds up pressure (Cl2 gas???), and if tightly closed, will eventually break open the container and spray concentrated acids everywhere.  Fun!!!

I'm not sure what the implications of this are for making HAuCl4 solutions with it.
