4-bromo,4-methyl 1-pentanol reacts with ch3co2h via sn1 reaction. What happens durimg the process and what are the products?

I think firstt the br will leave as the leaving group making the carbon it was attached to previously partially positive (br will be -) then either the double bond in acetic acid or the o-h bond will be opened.

If Br leaves as Br1-, then the carbon will bear a full positive charge.  What will that attract?
