Hello,

I'm actually working on ionic liquids synthesis. I usually buy the 1,2 dimethylimidazole (one methyl on the amine and une methyl on the carbone between the 2 amines).

But is there an easy way to synthetise this compound?

I know, from some inorganic friends, that some imidazole - triazole, could be synthetised simply by mixing ammoniac, glyoxal and acetaldehyde in aquous solution.

Do you have any clue for my compound?
