I tried this reaction and I'm pretty sure that product 2 is the correct one. But I think I read somewhere that product 1 is the correct one.
Any ideas?

How do you think compound 1 could be formed? Can you draw the last step from the bromide to 1?

This many groups leaving together is quite difficult if not impossible to form product 1.
I just got confused because I read somewhere 1,3,5- tris(azidomethyl)benzene was formed.
