4-fluoro-3-nitrobenzophenone from toluene and inorganic compounds. Apparently, there are many ways to do it, but every one of them has some problem. Which is the best way in your opinion?

Specifically what problems are you having. Benzophenone and derivatives are commonly formed usinng the process of friedel-crafts acylation.

I think I've figured this one already. The problem was that none of the methods seemed to be smooth enough to be workable.
