Problems with integrating
« on: September 12, 2021, 02:43:45 PM »
Hello everyone,I am quite new in this forum and even though I read the rules forgive me if I broke one them with this post.
I am having some issues with one exercise that requires me to integrate an equation in order to obtain the value of Entropy. The problem is as follows ∫(Cp/T)dt with Cp being Cp=a+(b*10^-3)+c*(10^5)*T^-2, I have manage to get the first member right (a*lnTf/Ti) but I am not able to get it right the other 2 members of the equation, even with the solutions provided by the professor.
Thank you for your time and rest of a good weekend!

First term ∫(a/T) dT - correct.

Second term - same as the first term.

Third term - you need to use the general equation ∫xn dx = [1/n+1] xn+1.

I forgot to add a T into the equation more specifically in the second term.
Cp=a+(b*10^-3)T+c*(10^5)*T^-2. This is the right equation however I think I managed to integrate the second term aswell.
Will try the last one using the formula that you recommended and come back if I am still not able to resolve it.
