Identifying Metals and vitamins in a substance
« on: October 24, 2024, 05:54:20 AM »
Hello,

I need to identify 4 chemicals in different substances, 1 of which needs to be a vitamin ( I can pick between Vitamin K and Vitamin D). Following this I still need to identify 3 metals, for which I picked Magnesium, Zinc and Iron. Do you guys know any good experiments that I can reasonably do in a highschool lab to identify these 4 elements in a substance? I'd like you to link your sources as well, thanks!

The only one of these that looks reasonably easy to detect/identify is iron (compare https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgbY7WzkplI ), all others will be rather challenging.
