« on: March 20, 2007, 01:40:09 PM »
I need you help. At this time, I both 02 substances from a company. One of 02 substances is HCL (Acid Clohydric). When i pour the other ( I guess CaF2) substance into HCL,I get a liquid (I guess 2HF)substance and something like CASO4. I transfer the liquit into other place (I Guest this substance is 2HF) and then put my glass botle into this liquid. The resutl is that after 45 second I have frosting bottles.

Can you help me write down chemcial equatation

I guest this equatation as follows:

CaF2 + H2SO4 ? 2HF + CaSO4

One more thing is that How can I prevent HF vaporing.

Let me explain again.

I order a guy for a chemical solution or Substance for making my glass bottle frosting. He sold me 01 substance which is a kind of fluoride. The other solution, I have to by under his instruction is HCL (Acid Clohydric).

To create a chemical solution or corrosive for making a glass bottle frosted,i was required to pour the fluroride into Acid Clohydric. After that, I have a liquid solution for making a glass bottle frosted.

Can you help me to write down the fomular or do you have any new method for making glass bottles frosted.

Thanks

I'm guessing that english isn't your native language.

So correct me if I'm wrong, but you ordered CaF2 (calcium fluoride) from a guy. He told you that, in order to frost your bottles you need to also buy HCl (hydrochloric acid). You mixed the two together, and now you want to know what happened.

Am I close?

What I don't get is...
Can you help me write down chemcial equatation

I guest this equatation as follows:

You have H2SO4 (sulfuric acid) in your equation. Where is the sulfuric acid coming from if you started with calcium fluoride and hydrochloric acid?
