Chemical Forums Chat Room
« on: November 24, 2006, 05:34:56 AM »
Added a totally cool Chat feature to the website. Just look at the embedded chat client to your right. I'll try to leave it on for the break so you can try it out and talk to me. Let me know what you think!!!

If you want to synch up with the chemicalforums chat client on your site, here is the embed tags:
Code: [Select]
<embed src="http://incircles.com/tc.swf?c=99611f782aab2a2889ecf427821fbc52&skn=0" height=500 width=155 wmode="transparent"/>
Note1: I'm using the tc.swf since it blends better with my colors, the stock beta will use incircles.swf
Note2: The room address should all be contained in this part of the code: c=99611f782aab2a2889ecf427821fbc52
Note3: You can download your own copy for your blogs from this link: http://www.incircles.com/

I think we should add PHP blocks in it to allow automatic registration of the member's alias

Seems like a lot of work if you only have to click the blinking guest name, type it in, click enter and it'll remember indefinitely.

The chat box doesn't work for me.  I'm using firefox v1.5 on a windows 2000 OS right now.

[Edit:  works fine with firefox 2.0]

Sorry, maybe in the next version it'll handle that character. Doubtful since its Unix base though.

is there any way to make it stop making that annoying swooping noise every time you go into a different forum? Clicking the little speaker symbot in the top right corner doesn't seem to make a difference.

edit: its only on the main page and the blogging forum, I will put up with it.

Okay, I'll leave it on the front page a bit longer. In a few days I'll take a poll on the matter.

The noise really doesn't bother me that much, it won't stop me visiting or anything. Plus it's your site, do whatever you want. A feature to make it totally silent would be good, that's all I was getting at.
It doesn't seem to be anywhere now...
