The following links take you to websites that the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) maintains. They all have something to do with chemistry.

The occupational handbook which details different aspects of the job; growth, earnings, qualifications, etc.

Some general statistics about jobs for chemists in the U.S.
http://www.bls.gov/oes/current/oes192031.htm

I haven't found statistics that show a break down by amount of education.

If anyone finds any other interesting things, or knows interesting things, do please post it.

I have a cheat sheet for finding all U.S. statistics.

[Edit] Materials scientists also may be something to look at. I'm not sure what it really is. I've just assumed it to be different from chemists.

One of last months editions of C&EN.
http://pubs.acs.org/cen/coverstory/84/8445cov3.html
At the end of the article is a link to other Cover Story sections, which is quite a few regarding Employment of chemists (that was what the whole edition was basically about).
Within all the content is where people with just a BS typically find work, salaries, overall perspective, different companies benefits and such.

I guess everybody else can see that? I am a member of the ACS and logged in, but most of what I was referring to appears to be free for everybody?
