never taken
« on: January 11, 2007, 07:17:30 PM »
I have never taken a chemistry class before and I am now enrolled in one on line. I have been trying for 3 days now how to do this and we are only on the first chapter if any one can help me please e-mail me and let me know. I have to make conversions and I suck at any math.

As long as we don't know what 'this' is we can't help. Post your questions and how you think they should be done - and someone will help you.

This whole board is about getting help. Just ask any question here. Keep in mind that we will not do your homework/assignments for you; but we will be more then willing to help you with them.

If you ask general question about concepts, you will get tons of answers. If you need help with specific problems, at least show your attempts.

And advice to somebody who is not good at math (other then lots of practice) is that you are taking a science class, not a math class. Sure there is math involved, but the science will guide you. Learn the principles and theories. Because you can actually check virtually all of your math with science, because once you get a result ask your self "does that make sense based on the chemical principles I learned? Is it the correct sign (positive or negative)? Is it in the right general range? Is this mathematical result even possible?" etc.
