4-(4-bromobutoxy)benzaldehyde

Hi
I mak the reaction 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde with dibromobutane to give 4-(4-bromobutoxy)benzaldehyde( ether subistituted) the product was liquid, i want to purificated it, when i make it by disstilation it oxidized, anybody have any information about this compound.

Not specifically about your compound but I've worked with substituted benzaldehydes before and I found they readily oxidise in air to form the acid so keep it under nitrogen and use a high vacum to speed up the distillation.
