What is the number of H2 molecules are present at STP when 10.0g of magnesium was added to 500 ml of 5.00 x 10-1 M of HCl in a closed container?

Well, from the information given, you can construct a partial chemical reaction:
_Mg + _HCl --> _H
2
+ ?
All that remains is for you to figure out the other products of the reaction, then balance the chemical reaction.

Mg + 2HCl => MgCl2 + H2
Now, you can make the calculations.
