Hello!!
I'm hoping to get some help with this lab problem of mine. For this lab experiment, we first standardized a solution of 0.2 M HCL, and one of 0.2 M of NaOH...than used theses solutions to analyze the neutralizing power of three antacids.....Tums, Maalox, and Rolaids.
All of the calculations have been no problem for me to figure out, until this one..
Problem: Calculate the theoretical neutralization capacity of each of your experiments, based on the information on the labels of the three antacids.
I have been driving myself crazy trying to figure out where to begin!!! I have all of the calculations done to this point.....such as...the molarity of the solutions, volume of HCl solution neutralized by each antacid, and volume of stomach acid neutralized by 2 tablets or tsp of each antacid.
Any help/suggestions on how to go about this problem would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks very much.
