Wikipedia says that magnetic oxide is Fe2O3 (iron (III) oxide).  However, I've never heard iron (III) oxide called that.  Is it possible that you want the formula for magnesium oxide (MgO)?

Fe2O3 is the right formula for rust but ive never herd it been called magnetic oxide. you maybe thinking of Magnetite Fe3O4 it is magnetic and its an oxide of iron you can get lots of it by simple putting a magnet in sand its all the little black things that get stuck to the magnet. i do it all the time to make thermite let me know if you want to know how
