hi my name is Albert and my class is also doing the mystery chemical "final." I was wondering if you could also help me with my chemical. I've been working on it for days without any progress and each test results in different information. I see that Ardyduh1manparty has gotten a jump on his chemical so i will describe mine too.

Chemical
-blue/green colored crystal
-in flame test produces yellow sparks (i think it could be magnesium or nickel or iron)
-did an acetate test (H2SO4 + Ethanol) and got a vodka/vinegar smell
-solubility: slightly soluble in water and  acetic acid, and soluble in nitric and alcohol
- my final chemical choices: Copper (II) Acetate * H2O
                                      Iron (II) Chloride * 4H2O
                                      Iron (II) Sulfate * 7H2O
                                      Nickel (II) Acetate

OK so it turns blue when the mystery chemical is added to ammonium hydroxide. This could be copper and i did a acetate test on it and it did smell like vinegar, so i just want to know if my other results match?
