« on: July 08, 2007, 02:26:02 PM »
Hi,
How do you find a physical size of molecule with a known molecular wt. and structure?

Molecule: Alexa Flour 594
Molecular Formula:    C35H35N4NaO10S2
Molecular Weight:    758.79

TIA

You picked one horrific molecule to start with.

To estimate size:

Get out a bond length table. Make a model with a kit. Add things up.

And finally - don't treat the result too seriously ;)
