Depends how much of an answer you want. Usually it just means that no electron can have the same quantum number as an other electron within an atom. So, you can't have two spin up electrons in an orbital; One has to be spin up (alpha-electron spin) and one would have to be spin down (beta-electron spin) if they are to be in the same orbital.
