pKa help Beer Lambert
« on: July 20, 2007, 01:40:21 AM »
For some specific wavelength of light, let:

   AB = the absorbance of solution B
   AC = the absorbance of solution C
   AD = the absorbance of solution D
   AE = the absorbance of solution E
   L = the wavelength
   M = the molarity of the stock solution

In terms of these variables, enter an algebraic expression for the mole fraction XD:

I have been struggling with this for hours!!! It has to do Beer-Lambert's Law.

Help please

define a formula for the mole fraction and then use Lambert-Beer's law to substitute variables.
