Hi everyone
I'm doing an assignment on Mendelian genetics and am currently looking at a monohybrid cross at an autosomal lethal locus.  Does anyone know if it is possible for one of the parents to have a dominant lethal allele? I've been told it is possible for lethals to be dominant, but how can they be involved in the cross, shouldn't they be dead??

Lethal alleles produce a lethal phenotype only when present in two copies.  Heterozygotes are viable and may or may not exhibit a mutant phenotype.
