heyy.. i am doing an experiment to test boyle's law by placing books on top of an airtight cylinder. the question is:
how would you go about testing whether the cylinder, with the plunger inserted, is really airtight?

Put weight on it and see if the plunger goes all the way down, thus evacuating the air?
This question is kinda vague.
