Extraction of caffeine

Aside from dichloromethane, I know caffeine is soluble in ether and toluene. I was wondering which of these would provide a more suitable solvent for extraction. Would the boiling point of the solvents matter?
I would appreciate any help. Thanks

Toluene is a bit of a pain to evaporate off once you have finished the extraction because of its higher boiling point. Either would be okay. The real problem with extracting caffeine is seeing the interface between the organic solvent and the water because they are both dark brown.
