acid/base question
« on: September 11, 2007, 10:35:37 PM »
a 10 mM solution of a weak monocarboxlylic acid has a pH of 3.00. Calculate Ka and pKa for this carboxylic acid.

I am not sure what equations i need, perhaps the Henderson-Hasselbalch?

Just write eqution for Ka and do some approximation [H+]=[A-] and [HA}=c
