Initial Reaction Rate (kinetics)
« on: September 13, 2007, 04:12:26 AM »
Is there a particular equation that is used when graphically estimating the initial reaction rate? I tried the rate law formula using the first two time/concentration values given to me, but I have a feeling that's not how its done (especially seeing that's how you usually get the average reaction rate between two time periods. I would post up the values in the problem I'm having, but if there is an equation formula, I'm sure I can plug in the numbers on my own.

Anyway, thanks!

kinetics have heaps of formulas. But usually the best way to start is the mass balance.
