Right so we are given a mystery substance that contains sodium chlorate and sodium bicarbonate. We have to formulate a lab to find the percent composition of sodium bicarbonate in mystery substance. We are given sodium chlorate, Sodium Bicarbonate, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, and sodium hydroxide. So how would I go about finding the percent comp of mystery substance?
What I'm thinking is mixing NaCl and HCl and seeing how much NCl is left over there. Then mixing NaHCO3 with HCl and seeing how much NaCl is produced. Then mixing mystery substance with HCl and seeing how much NaCl is produced there. Then comparing the results of that somehow.
All right thanks for the help.
