Clove Oil and Eugenol question???

 ???What tests can i use to determine that my isolated clove oil consists of eugenol??

Iron (III) Chloride or Ferric chloride is a good qualitative test for determining the presence of phenols.  Think about the structure of eugenol.  Should it have any UV activity?  What about smell?
