How many atoms?
« on: September 26, 2007, 11:19:20 AM »
An object is coated with a layer of chromium, 0.015cm thick. The object has a surface area of 15.3 cm2. How many atoms of chromium are used in the coating? (the density of chromium = 7.19g/cm3)

Do i have to convert the volume to mass..then mols to atoms?? If so..with the given numbers what are the steps taken to solving for volume? Thanks ...
