So im curious here..

Where im currently studying the theoretical courses in physical chemistry is based upon Atkins, supplemented by notes and what not produced by the professor. This one book covers the 3 basic courses [each. worth 5 ects. points].

So what books are you using at your current University? Do you have any special supplementary notes?

We have the book by Silbey, though the professor wrote his own extensive notes that cover the course material. I'm using an older textbook by Noggins on my own to supplement...it's pretty good. I swear, I spent a good 2 weeks just kind of staring at all this material without it making much sense. It's finally starting to make sense somehow, which is a relief since midterms are coming up.

How is your course taught? Our prof seems to know what he's talking about and he's pretty coherent, but most class time is spent on derivations as opposed to actual problems.
