Would someone please help me with the steps in the synthesis of N-(4-Hydroxybenzyl)1,3-Propanediamine from  Ethyl p-hydroxybenzoate?  I'm pretty sure that my professor mentioned 1,3-Propanediamine in the synthesis but I'm not sure how exactly it fits in.  Thanks.

Amine attack at the carbonyl carbon. Addition-Elimination reaction involves either a cyclic diamine (intramolecular) or imine formation which eliminates ethanol and water.  Write the mechanism.  Reaction depends on conditions.

Articles about what?  The specific synthesis or the various reactions you need to use?  If it's the reactions you need to use, I'd imagine such things would be in your book.
