2-tert-butylphenol with Jones reagent.

I have a couple of questions. Does the Jones test work for phenols or is it limited to alcohol?
I did a jones test on 2-tertbutylphenol and it gave me a positive (green color). It can't be making a ketone out of it so i'm really confused now...

I'm trying to figure out what the products were for this reaction:

probably 2-tert-butyl-1,4-benzoquinone is formed
phenols can be oxidized to quinones
